Step 1 of 8
Add: 4 × orange 2 × 2 brick
Set out four orange square bricks at the corners of a square. Leave four empty stud columns between left and right feet and four empty rows between front and back feet.

Four broad feet support a white and blue landing cabin, with orange markers and removable survey equipment. Make a landing site for a new space mission.
Before you build
Find the right shape
Match the shape, size and colour to the parts pictures. A stud is a round bump on top. Count rows and columns from one edge.
Follow the pictures
New pieces keep their full colour. Earlier pieces are lighter. Keep the front of the model facing you unless a step says to turn it.
Build and play together
Gather all the pieces first, then take each step at your own pace. Help your child press pieces together and lift removable parts gently.
The four legs are fixed. The model is for tabletop landings, not dropping.
You need two 4 × 8 plates for the deck. Check the support connections before lifting the finished model.

Build
One step at a time
New pieces are in colour. Earlier pieces are lighter.
Step 2 of 8
Add: 4 × white 2 × 2 brick
Put a white square brick on each orange foot.
Step 3 of 8
Add: 2 × white 4 × 8 plate
Bridge the left pair of legs with a white 4 × 8 plate. Put another beside it across the right pair. Their edges meet in the middle.
Step 4 of 8
Add: 1 × white 4 × 6 plate
Join the deck halves with a white 4 × 6 plate, centred left to right and one row in from both the front and back.
Step 5 of 8
Add: 2 × white 2 × 4 brick
Put two white 2 × 4 bricks side by side in the middle of the white plate. Leave one white row clear at the front and back.
Step 6 of 8
Add: 2 × white 2 × 2 brick; 2 × blue 2 × 2 brick
Add two white squares at the back of the cabin and two blue squares at the front for the windows.
Step 7 of 8
Add: 1 × white 4 × 4 round plate; 1 × orange 2 × 2 cone
Centre the white round plate on the cabin. Add the orange cone in its centre as the landing beacon.
Step 8 of 8
Add: 1 × yellow 2 × 2 round tower brick; 1 × orange 2 × 2 cone
Put a yellow round tower brick on the right side of the deck, halfway between the legs, as a removable survey canister. Add an orange cone in the matching space on the left as a marker.
Ready to play
Make a little story
- Draw a landing circle and guide the lander down by hand.
- Lift off the survey canister and describe an imaginary moon sample.
- Set up a meeting with the Moon alien, using its separate guide.
