Sky dragon

Wide red wings, a long neck and an orange crest make a dragon with a bold outline. Build its four feet and broad body before adding the wings.
Before you build
Match the shapes
Compare each part with its picture and count its rows of studs. A square brick has two rows of two studs; a long brick has two rows of four. Use the full parts list for the exact shapes and quantities.
Follow the colours
Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Colour names in the steps refer to the pictures. Keep contrasting colours where they help you recognise the model.
Count the studs
The bumps on top are called studs. Count them when a step asks for a gap or an overhang. Put the build on a flat surface and keep its front facing the same way as in the pictures.
Add a little at a time
New pieces keep their colour in each step. Earlier pieces look lighter so you can see what has changed. Each list tells you exactly what to add.
Build together
An adult can read the steps while a child finds the pieces. The counts are for this one model. For two models to stay built, add their parts lists together.
The wings, legs and neck are fixed. Support the body when moving the dragon.
Gather pieces
Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Choose your own colours for the same parts; changing a part’s shape is a different substitution.
A wheeled base counts as one complete part, including its attached wheels.

Build
STEP 1 OF 19
Set out four green curved feet in a rectangle. Leave two stud columns between the left and right feet, and three clear rows between the front and back feet. All toes point forward.

STEP 2 OF 19
Stand a yellow round leg on the flat rear part of each foot.

Turn two green wide plates across the legs, end to end, to form a six-by-eight-stud belly.

Cover the back half of the belly with three green long bricks side by side.

Join the body halves with an extra-long green brick down the centre, starting two rows in from the back. Add green double-curved bricks beside it, centred over the belly seam.

STEP 7 OF 19
Add the green long plate behind the centre brick to make the tail. Its front two rows attach to the body; the rest projects backward.

Cover the back six rows of the tail with two green curved bricks, pointing backward.

Turn the yellow long plate across the back for a wing support. Its front edge lines up with the back of the neck position, and it overhangs by one stud at each side.

Add a red wide plate at each end of the yellow support, with their six-stud lengths pointing outward. Each wing overlaps two columns of the support and extends two rows behind it.

Put two orange slopes along the back half of each wing, starting at the outer tips. Point their low ends away from the body.
