YOUR OFFLINE GUIDE
Ice-cream van
25 pieces · 9 steps
A tall ice-cream sign and open serving windows make this van easy to spot. Two wheeled bases support the long purple-and-white body.

Before you build
Match the shapes
Compare each part with its picture and count its rows of studs. A square brick has two rows of two studs; a long brick has two rows of four. Use the full parts list for the exact shapes and quantities.
Follow the colours
Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Colour names in the steps refer to the pictures. Keep contrasting colours where they help you recognise the model.
Count the studs
The bumps on top are called studs. Count them when a step asks for a gap or an overhang. Put the build on a flat surface and keep its front facing the same way as in the pictures.
Add a little at a time
New pieces keep their colour in each step. Earlier pieces look lighter so you can see what has changed. Each list tells you exactly what to add.
Build together
An adult can read the steps while a child finds the pieces. The counts are for this one model. For two models to stay built, add their parts lists together.
The windows are open frames. The roof sign is fixed, and there is no serving hatch to lift.
Gather pieces
Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Choose your own colours for the same parts; changing a part’s shape is a different substitution.
A wheeled base counts as one complete part, including its attached wheels.

- 2 × Wheeled vehicle base (4 × 4 studs) (White)
Earlier pieces are lighter in the picture.
STEP 2 OF 9
Lay two white wide plates end to end over the chassis. Centre the twelve-row floor so it extends one row beyond the back and front of the wheels.

Add these pieces
- 2 × Wide plate (4 × 6 studs) (White)
Earlier pieces are lighter in the picture.
STEP 3 OF 9
Join the floor seam with two purple long bricks side by side. Fill the rear and front sections with four more purple long bricks for a continuous stripe.

Add these pieces
- 6 × Long brick (2 × 4 studs) (Purple)
Earlier pieces are lighter in the picture.
STEP 4 OF 9
Stand a white window frame across the back, with its hinge details facing backward. Put another along each side immediately in front of the rear frame, with both openings and hinges facing outward.

Add these pieces
- 3 × Window / door frame (4 × 2 studs) (White)
Earlier pieces are lighter in the picture.
STEP 5 OF 9
Make the cab at the front with two blue squares side by side for windows. Add two white curves in front of them, rounded ends pointing forward.

Add these pieces
- 2 × Curved brick (2 × 3 studs) (White)
- 2 × Square brick (2 × 2 studs) (Blue)
Earlier pieces are lighter in the picture.
STEP 6 OF 9
Roof the cab with a white square plate. Line its back edge up with the back of the blue windows.

Add these pieces
- 1 × Square plate (4 × 4 studs) (White)
Earlier pieces are lighter in the picture.
STEP 7 OF 9
Cover the tall serving area with two purple square plates, end to end. Their back edge lines up with the rear wall; the front section projects toward the cab.

Add these pieces
- 2 × Square plate (4 × 4 studs) (Purple)
Earlier pieces are lighter in the picture.
STEP 8 OF 9
Centre a brown round tower brick over the rear roof seam as a giant ice-cream cup sign.

Add these pieces

Earlier pieces are lighter in the picture.
STEP 9 OF 9
Top the cup with the cream round plate as a wide rim, then centre a cream cone above it as the soft-serve swirl. Leave the small top stud free.

Add these pieces
- 1 × Tower cone (2 × 2 studs) (Cream)
- 1 × Round plate (4 × 4 studs) (Cream)
Earlier pieces are lighter in the picture.
