Mini double-decker bus

31 pieces · 12 steps

Two rows of blue windows, a rounded front and a long red body make this little bus ready for a busy route. Two wheeled bases support the lower, longer shape.

Before you build

Find the right shape

Match the shape, size and colour to the parts pictures. A stud is a round bump on top. Count rows and columns from one edge.

Follow the pictures

New pieces keep their full colour. Earlier pieces are lighter. Keep the front of the model facing you unless a step says to turn it.

Build and play together

Gather all the pieces first, then take each step at your own pace. Help your child press pieces together and lift removable parts gently.

The bus uses two matching wheeled bases. Each base includes its attached wheels and counts as one piece.

The windows are solid blue bricks. The roof and doors are fixed.

This bus has not been sized for the car-wash tunnel.

Ready to play

Make a little story

  1. Draw a route with three stops. Give each stop a name.
  2. Count the upper and lower deck windows as the bus visits each stop.
  3. Take turns being the driver and the person announcing the next stop.
