A little penguin with a bright beak and broad feet, ready for a waddle across the table.
Before you build
Find the pieces
Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Use the pictured part and stud dimensions to find the same shape.
Count the studs
Studs are the round bumps on top. Count the lines of studs across and along a piece. When a step leaves a clear row or column, keep that space empty. Match the picture to keep the model facing the same way.
Follow the colour
New pieces keep their colour in each step. Earlier pieces are lighter so you can see what to add. The finished-model picture shows all the colours together.
Choose how to play
Choose one model and check its pieces first. Take it apart to reuse those pieces for another model. Pack-wide lists are optional planning tools; the exact-colour list follows the pictured palette.
Gather your pieces
Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Colour names in the steps refer to the pictures. Keep useful contrasts, such as a light belly against a dark body.

Build step by step
Step 2. Join the feet with a black small plate turned across their two flat rows. Keep both rounded toes visible.
Step 3. Centre the white square belly on the front row of the black plate. One row projects towards the toes.
Step 4. Place a black wall brick on each side of the belly for the flippers. Their backs line up with the black plate.
Step 5. Stack a second white square on the belly.
Step 6. Bridge the belly and flippers with a black long brick running from left to right.
Step 7. Centre a yellow small plate on the head, running towards you. Two rows project forward as the beak.
Step 8. Finish with a black curve over the back of the beak, rounded end pointing towards you. Leave the last yellow row showing.
Ready to play
- Draw an iceberg on paper and help your penguin reach it.
- Count its two flippers and two wide feet.
- Tell a story about a penguin looking for a friend.
