Before you build

Find the pieces

Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Use the pictured part and stud dimensions to find the same shape.

Count the studs

Studs are the round bumps on top. Count the lines of studs across and along a piece. When a step leaves a clear row or column, keep that space empty. Match the picture to keep the model facing the same way.

Follow the colour

New pieces keep their colour in each step. Earlier pieces are lighter so you can see what to add. The finished-model picture shows all the colours together.

Choose how to play

Choose one model and check its pieces first. Take it apart to reuse those pieces for another model. Pack-wide lists are optional planning tools; the exact-colour list follows the pictured palette.

Your bus route

The bus follows its own route. Use the included little car at the wash.

Car-wash job cards

JOB 01

Check that the tunnel is clear.

JOB 02

Drive the included little car straight through on a flat table.

JOB 03

Point to the fixed wash markers and describe the pretend wash.

JOB 04

Park the little car beside the bus. Give the bus its own route.

Town job cards

Post a tiny paper letter. Lift the top to collect it, then deliver it to the station.

Call stop, wait and go for pretend road users. Point to the fixed coloured signals.

Name the station, wait on the bench and announce the next bus. The bus stops beside the shelter.

Name the pretend materials your lorry will collect. Lift off the empty green bin with both hands, then put it back. Draw a collection route and take turns calling out each stop.

Lift the brown parcel off the forks by hand. Park beside the loading dock and stack it on the dock parcel. Take turns sending and receiving a pretend delivery.

Match each parcel to its bay colour. Lift a whole parcel by its white base, then put it back. Invent an address for each colour and take turns sorting the mail.

Lift the yellow pallet and its brown parcel together by the base. Park the forklift beside the dock and stack its parcel on the dock parcel by hand. Make up an address and take turns sending and receiving deliveries.
