Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Use the pictured part and stud dimensions to find the same shape.
Count the studs
Studs are the round bumps on top. Count the lines of studs across and along a piece. When a step leaves a clear row or column, keep that space empty. Match the picture to keep the model facing the same way.
Follow the colour
New pieces keep their colour in each step. Earlier pieces are lighter so you can see what to add. The finished-model picture shows all the colours together.
Choose how to play
Choose one model and check its pieces first. Take it apart to reuse those pieces for another model. Pack-wide lists are optional planning tools; the exact-colour list follows the pictured palette.
Optional paper cup: up to 28 mm wide and 30 mm tall. Slide it in from the front; use pretend drinks only.
Gather your pieces
Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Colour names in the steps refer to the pictures. Keep useful contrasts, such as a light belly against a dark body.
Shape-only checklist
Match these shapes and quantities. The full checklist above shows our pictured colours.
Build step by step
01
Step 1. Lay two black small plates side by side for the drip-tray base.
02
Step 2. Join the base plates with two white long bricks across the rear half, one on top of the other.
03
Step 3. Put one white wall brick down each side of the front half. The two middle columns stay clear for a paper cup.
04
Step 4. Add another white long brick across the back and a white square brick at each front corner. Together they bridge the top of the cup opening.
05
Step 5. Join the top with a red square plate. There is an open recess below the two front white squares.
06
Step 6. Put a black long brick across the rear half of the top for the control panel.
07
Step 7. Put a red square at the left and a yellow square at the right of the panel for fixed pretend controls.
08
Step 8. Add a black curve at the front of the red top plate, centred across it. Its rounded end projects forward as a fixed spout.
09
Step 9. Put a yellow round tower on the flat rows of the black spout for the pretend water tank. No real liquid goes in this model.
