Little bridge, a brick build

LET’S MAKE A LITTLE SOMETHING

Little bridge

6 pieces 4 steps

Two small pillars and a long brick make a simple bridge. With just six pieces, it is a quick way to practise spacing and joining.

A little before you begin

The narrow opening is not sized for the library’s wheeled vehicles.

Count studs to check gaps and overhangs. New pieces keep their colour; earlier pieces look lighter. Before you build →

A LITTLE PREPARATION

Gather your pieces

Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Colour names in the steps refer to the pictures; keep useful contrasts, such as a light belly against a dark body.

WHEN THE BUILDING IS DONE

Now for the little story.

Count the bricks in each pillar. Imagine a stream beneath the opening. Tell a story about a tiny visitor crossing over it.
