01
STEP 1 OF 9
Set the blue wide plate lengthways for the boat’s waterline.

02
STEP 2 OF 9
Make the red hull with two long bricks side by side at the back and two curves at the front. Point the rounded bow ends forward, one row beyond the blue plate.

03
STEP 3 OF 9
Cover the hull with the cream wide plate, lined up with the blue waterline plate.

04
STEP 4 OF 9
Stand the brown wall brick near the middle of the deck, one stud column in from the left side. Its two-stud depth runs from back to front.

05
STEP 5 OF 9
Start the larger cream sail beside the right of the mast. Turn a cream long brick across the deck so half of it projects beyond the boat’s right side.

06
STEP 6 OF 9
Taper that sail with a cream medium brick across the layer below, then a cream square. Keep both layers against the mast.

07
STEP 7 OF 9
Extend the mast with two more brown wall bricks, one above the other. Finish the tall sail with a cream wall brick beside the mast, above the cream square.

08
STEP 8 OF 9
Make a smaller sunset sail on the left: an orange square on the deck, projecting one column over the side, then a yellow wall brick along the edge nearest the mast.

09
STEP 9 OF 9
Turn the yellow small plate across the very top of the mast as a pennant. One stud column rests on the mast’s top; the rest points to the right.

THE LAST STEP OF THE GUIDE
Room for a little more imagination.
Place your boat on a blue cloth and invent an island to visit. Keep the bricks on dry land.
