BUILD TOGETHER

Little car

7 pieces · 6 steps

A small car with a red base and a blue cab, ready for the car wash or a paper-road adventure.

Little car - finished model
Before you build

Find the pieces

Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Use the pictured part and stud dimensions to find the same shape.

Count the studs

Studs are the round bumps on top. Count the lines of studs across and along a piece. When a step leaves a clear row or column, keep that space empty. Match the picture to keep the model facing the same way.

Follow the colour

New pieces keep their colour in each step. Earlier pieces are lighter so you can see what to add. The finished-model picture shows all the colours together.

Choose how to play

Choose one model and check its pieces first. Take it apart to reuse those pieces for another model. Pack-wide lists are optional planning tools; the exact-colour list follows the pictured palette.

Gather your pieces

Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Colour names in the steps refer to the pictures. Keep useful contrasts, such as a light belly against a dark body. Compare your wheeled base with the picture before starting. We have not confirmed every real chassis and wheel version.

Shape-only checklist

Match these shapes and quantities. The full checklist above shows our pictured colours.

Build step by step

Step 1. Set the red wheeled base on the table. It already has four black wheels; its two rows of top studs run along the car.

Step 2. Put the red small plate on all eight chassis studs to raise the body above the tyres.

Step 3. Centre the red long plate lengthways over the chassis, overhanging by two stud rows at each end.

Step 4. Centre the blue square on the long plate for the windows. Three rows of red studs remain at each end.

Step 5. Fill each end of the long plate with a red curve. Point their rounded ends outward, away from the blue windows.

Step 6. Centre the white small plate above the windows. It also joins the first row of studs on each red curve.

  1. Follow a road drawn on paper.
  2. Drive slowly through the matching car-wash tunnel.
