Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Use the pictured part and stud dimensions to find the same shape.
Count the studs
Studs are the round bumps on top. Count the lines of studs across and along a piece. When a step leaves a clear row or column, keep that space empty. Match the picture to keep the model facing the same way.
Follow the colour
New pieces keep their colour in each step. Earlier pieces are lighter so you can see what to add. The finished-model picture shows all the colours together.
Choose how to play
Choose one model and check its pieces first. Take it apart to reuse those pieces for another model. Pack-wide lists are optional planning tools; the exact-colour list follows the pictured palette.
Gather your pieces
Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Colour names in the steps refer to the pictures. Keep useful contrasts, such as a light belly against a dark body.
Shape-only checklist
Match these shapes and quantities. The full checklist above shows our pictured colours.
Build step by step
01
Step 1. Set three green base plates side by side, with their long edges touching, for the platform.
02
Step 2. Put three white window frames across the back edge, one on each plate. Their openings face the waiting area.
03
Step 3. Put green tall square bricks at the front left, middle and right for roof posts.
04
Step 4. Top each green post with a green square brick. The posts now reach the same height as the back frames.
05
Step 5. Join the back frames with two white medium plates turned across their tops. The plates meet in the middle.
06
Step 6. Join the front posts with two more white medium plates, meeting above the middle post.
07
Step 7. Make a long bench with three blue long bricks end to end across the platform. Leave one clear row between the bench and the front posts.
08
Step 8. Cap each bench section with a blue small plate turned across it.
09
Step 9. Put three red base plates over the white beams, side by side, running from back to front for the shelter roof.
10
Step 10. Centre the yellow long brick across the roof for a plain station sign. Add a stop name on a separate paper card if you wish.
Ready to play
Write a station name on a separate paper card.
Announce the next stop for pretend travellers.
Draw a bus or train route beside the platform and tell a journey story.
