Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Use the pictured part and stud dimensions to find the same shape.
Count the studs
Studs are the round bumps on top. Count the lines of studs across and along a piece. When a step leaves a clear row or column, keep that space empty. Match the picture to keep the model facing the same way.
Follow the colour
New pieces keep their colour in each step. Earlier pieces are lighter so you can see what to add. The finished-model picture shows all the colours together.
Choose how to play
Choose one model and check its pieces first. Take it apart to reuse those pieces for another model. Pack-wide lists are optional planning tools; the exact-colour list follows the pictured palette.
Gather your pieces
Match the shapes and quantities. The pictures show our colours. Colour names in the steps refer to the pictures. Keep useful contrasts, such as a light belly against a dark body. Compare your wheeled base with the picture before starting. We have not confirmed every real chassis and wheel version.
Shape-only checklist
Match these shapes and quantities. The full checklist above shows our pictured colours.
Build step by step
01
Step 1. Set two red wheeled bases in a line, with two clear rows between them. Cover the eight studs on each base with a red small plate.
02
Step 2. Lay two green base plates end to end over the raised chassis plates. The floor overhangs by two rows at each end.
03
Step 3. Join the two floor plates with two green small plates side by side, crossing the middle join.
04
Step 4. Level the rear loading deck with two more green small plates, placed behind the joining plates.
05
Step 5. Build the cab at the front with two white long bricks side by side, then two blue long bricks directly above them for the windows.
06
Step 6. Cover the cab with a white square plate.
07
Step 7. Put the green base plate on the loading deck for the removable bin. Its back edge overhangs the deck by two rows.
08
Step 8. Make the two long bin sides with four green wall bricks on each edge.
09
Step 9. Close the ends with a green wall brick across each end gap. The bin remains open at the top.
Ready to play
Name the pretend materials your lorry will collect.
Lift off the empty green bin with both hands, then put it back.
Draw a collection route and take turns calling out each stop.
